Summary of Role:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 10 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Equipment Engineer to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in East Fishkill, New York. This position is for the Equipment Excellence team, which is responsible for managing equipment throughout its life-cycle including improving equipment performance, driving down spending, coordinating technical training, maintaining compliance with quality standards, and enabling efficiency through IT solutions.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
Drive cross functional projects with the goal to set and maintain fab wide standards.
Develop and maintain the systems and business processes for the calibration of measurement, test equipment, and hand tools. Create quality documentation and develop operating procedures to assure compliance with internal and the following external quality standards: ISO-9001:2015, IATF-16949:2016 and AS-9100 rev D. Ensure that the processes needed for the calibration system are established, implemented and maintained.
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data. Maintain and report on the performance of the calibration system and identify opportunities for improvement. Keep management fully apprised of significant occurrences and trends that impact the quality of product or manufacturing operations.
Ensure Calibration System Audit Readiness: Serve as the primary calibration system representative for internal/external audits. Perform internal audits of the calibration system, and periodic reviews of tracking systems including, ELIS, FAB10-OOT, and FAB10-ISR. Maintain current, accurate evidence of conformance to the quality standards.
Work closely with external partners; e.g. suppliers, customers and vendors; manage and monitor vendor qualifications and performance to ensure that they meet Global Foundries compliance requirements, to include auditing and corrective actions. Carry out requests for quote, contract review and design control processes as appropriate.
Where applicable, develop procedures in the use of test standards. Monitor all gauge repeatability and reproducibility measurement systems. Participate in corrective and preventive action processes.
Education: Bachelors of Engineering in a related discipline
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity with maintenance and manufacturing operations
Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing priorities.
Strong project leadership, organization and excellent communication skills.
Possess a passion for excellence with high integrity and a commitment to quality
Understanding of Microsoft Office products including VBA Scripting.
Solid data analysis skills including familiarity with analysis tools (Matlab, JMP, R, etc.)
Experience with relational databases (DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL) including ETL operations
Experience working in a Linux environment and with scripting languages (Python, PHP, etc.)
Experience with web development (JS, HTML5, etc.) and web frameworks (Django, etc.)
Understanding of Google G-Suite products including Google Apps Scripting.
