Williams Form Engineering is looking to hire a first shift supervisor for our Wayne, NE manufacturing location.

Williams is looking for a strong leader with mechanical background who will be challenged with the safety, health/welfare, morale, and production of a 25-30 member team. The right leader will look to drive results. This is a hands-on, action-oriented individual focused on developing the team producing great outcomes for the team and customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that company goals of safety, morale, and welfare of our team are met
  • Train and develop personnel
  • Lead safety program and training for all shop floor employees
  • Promote positive culture and one-team mindset within safety, production, inventory, quality, and maintenance
  • Leader for carrying out continuous improvement activities to achieve company goals
  • Create and manage labor, expenses, and budgets
  • Maintain and track facility inventory
  • Create, train, and enforce standards and procedures for shop floor operation
  • Conduct job observation and audits to ensure shop floor standards are being followed
  • Must be able to work extended hours and rotate shifts when required
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Basic reading, writing and advanced arithmetic skills required, normally acquired through high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 4 years experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing or construction experience
  • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
  • US Citizen or Green Card holder

Pay will be based on experience.

Working Conditions:

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Though most of the day is spent indoors, temperatures could range fairly drastically depending on the time of year. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Could be required to stand, walk, bend and twist for 7+ hours per day. The plant requires the use of safety equipment to including safety glasses and steel-toe boots, as well as hearing protection and hard hats in required areas. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.

Our construction products are divided into three main categories: Concrete Forming Hardware and Accessories; Rock and Concrete Anchor Bolts; and Post Tensioning Systems. We design and manufacture these products with pride and provide them at fair marketable prices.
