Scientist, Bioscience - Bispecific Antibody Technologies for Immuno-Oncology Therapeutics

The Department of Antibody Discovery and Protein Engineering is seeking a talented and highly-motivated scientist to enhance our bispecific antibody-based platform technology efforts in the immuno-oncology space. The successful candidate will be excited by research at the interface where innovative technology meets Biology. Specifically, the new hire will be commanding the design, development and functional characterization of innovative antibody-based therapeutic modalities, including; bispecific/trispecific Immune cell engagers, bispecific checkpoint inhibitors and TCR-biotherapeutics. The applicant will operate independently and in collaboration with a diverse group of scientists across various disciplines of Research to actively drive technological innovations. The selected individual will be a well-organized and a highly productive scientist that can design and execute experiments efficiently, as well as analyze, interpret and present data to multidisciplinary project teams.

Position Requirements:

To be considered, you will need to have proven practical scientific experience in the following:

  • Molecular biology and antibody engineering techniques
  • Structure/function-based techniques
  • Tissue culture techniques and cell-based assay development
  • Multicolor flow cytometry
  • Working efficiently and productively in a highly dynamic, scientifically rigorous and fast-paced environment


Education/Experience Requirements:

For Scientist I: You will have a PhD in life sciences with 3-5 years post-doctoral or industry experience.

For Scientist II: You will have a PhD in life sciences with greater than 5 years post-doctoral or industry experience.

Preferred Skills:
  • Extensive experience in molecular biology and antibody engineering, including; design, expression, purification and biochemical characterization of various antibody formats.
  • Strong experience in structure/function-based techniques, including crystallography, Cryo EM
  • Deep understanding of various imaging/multicolor flow cytometry-based instruments and data analysis programs.
  • Strong background in immunology, T cell biology and cancer biology is a plus.
  • Comprehensive experience in T cell assay development, including isolation of T cells from whole blood, T cell activation and cytokine profiling assays, T cell transduction, co-culture assays, T cell cytotoxicity assays, CFSE cell proliferation assays.
  • Experience in antibody discovery using one of several display-based technologies is preferred but not essential.
  • Proficiency in GraphPad Prism or other graphing software.
  • Strong industry experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills and effective presentation of complex scientific data to cross-functional and senior management teams are essential for this role.
