Position Description:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of repetitive assembly and packaging tasks on a high-speed assembly line in frozen food facility while adhering to various guidelines for safety, food safety, and efficiency.

Hours: Start times vary between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm, end times vary between 11:00 pm and 12:00 am.

Pay: This position is $17.40 per hour with a shift differential increase for working 2nd shift and potential for overtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring product and equipment for defects or contamination.
  
• Placing frozen and refrigerated food components on a moving assembly line.
  
• Placing assembled products into various cartons or containers for shipment.
  
• Rotating through various workstations throughout the day, as assigned.
  
• Adhering to all safety requirements including but not limited to wearing required PPE (earplugs, bump caps), performing required stretches, rotating to all position throughout the line, and working at a designated pace.
  
• Adhering to all food safety requirement including but not limited to handwashing, wearing required PPE (hairnets, beard nets, smocks), and following Good Manufacturing Practices.
  
• Other duties as assigned.
  

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be willing and able to lift 20lbs occasionally and hold 5lbs regularly.
  
• The Team Member will take and pass various tests regarding safety and food safety practices.
  
• The Team Member will work in cold environment (30 -40°F temperatures) for 8-10 hours per day.
  
• The Team Member will walk and stand for 8-10 hours per day.
  
• The Team Member will bend, crouch, and stoop throughout the day.
  
• The Team Member will work with both hands and arms simultaneously throughout the day.
  
• The Team Member will use hand and fingers to grasp and pull.
  
• The Team Member will perform repetitive motion of the shoulders, arms, and hands with up to 50 repetitions per minute.
  

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
