Location

Our Emergency Department is located on the campus of Salem Hospital, with an address of 3 Dove Avenue Salem, MA 01970.

The Salem Hospital Emergency Department has 65 private patient bays, a dedicated waiting room for our pediatric patients, and dedicated space for our behavioral health patients. We provide both adult and pediatric emergency care. We are a Level III Trauma Center, a highest-ranked Stroke Center, and the first hospital on the North Shore to offer advanced care for sexual assault patients.

Shift

We are looking for PAs s to cover 3, 12-hour, rotating shifts per week (combination of days and nights). Weekends and Holidays are included.

General Summary

The ED Advanced Practitioner works collaboratively with the Emergency Medicine Physicians to ensure high quality, safe and timely care for patients with various chief complaints. Performing medical screening examinations in order to stabilize and treat those seeking services from the Emergency Room, the ED Advanced Practitioner may work in all areas of the Emergency Department and may assume care for patients of all ages within the scope of their professional practice guidelines.

Qualifications
Education

• Required: Masters Degree from an accredited program

License/Certification

• Required: Physician Assistant license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Preferred: ACLS, ATLS

Experience

• Preferred: Three years of ED experience
