Summary of Role:
GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineer to be a part of a manufacturing engineering team engaged in advanced technology at GLOBALFOUNDRIES state of the art 300mm wafer fab (Fab 8) in Malta, New York. In this role, you will be a developer for layout-parasitic-extraction (LPE/PEX) for a broad range of CMOS technology nodes including FinFET, FDSOI, Bulk, SOI, RF, mm-wave.
Essential Responsibilities :
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
- Develop Parasitic Extraction technology files
- Develop appropriate mapping/interface files to enable smooth extraction flows to and from PEX within the PDK
- Work with EAD tool vendors to drive tool enhancements and issue resolution
- Work with customer support engineers on customer issue resolution
- Work with cross-functional teams (Technology, Development, Modeling, Device teams) to ensure proper definition of input specification (DM, Process Assumptions, Instance Parameter Lists) that allow a high grade of automation
Requires a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent degree in a related field from an accredited university.
B.S. with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
M.S. with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
PhD with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience
Familiar with various foundry technologies
Experience in Synopsys StarRC, Cadence Quantus, Mentor Calibre xACT/xRC, and/or other industry standard PEX tools and PEX model generation
Experience in scripting languages such as Perl, or Python
Knowledge in SKILL language is preferred.
Strong communication skills within a global team
Ability to define and execute projects independently
