The University of Miami seeks a Research Assistant to provide support for a Fall 2020 introductory global health course. Duties will include general support in managing research, managing extensive bibliographic and primary data, IRB support, managing and producing research publications for academic journals and for dissemination.

Overview of scope of work:

  • Provide support for an introductory global health course in the Fall semester
  • Coordinate research related to work on global health
  • Perform relevant literature reviews and background research
  • Assist in compilation of data for databases
  • Work with staff to develop programming and convene research meetings
  • Co-author papers
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education : Bachelor's degree with demonstrated ability to manage and conduct research that culminates in academic and policy publications.
  • Experience : Minimum of two (2) years of related experience, including experience in research, research management, data collection and information management skills, and management and use of extensive bibliographic networks and data. Training and research experience in public health.
  • Language skills : English fluency and demonstrated academic writing ability required. Spanish preferred. Other language skills helpful, especially Portuguese and French.
