IDEAL CANDIDATE: We are seeking individuals who are Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Additions Counselors, Licensed Practical Counselors, and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. The ideal candidate will be licensed upon hire. Candidates who have passed their licensure exam and are receiving supervision, and can be licensed in less than 3 months may be considered for this position.

POSITION SUMMARY: Answer phones and screen calls for eligibility for services and provide referrals. Complete Behavioral Health Assessment face to face with the consumer.

SALARY RANGE: $54,808 - $65,707

(If not licensed, starting range for Masters level clinician is: $45,760-$54,953)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Answer phones from the community
  • Look up consumer information on multiple computer platforms
  • Schedule intake appointments in the Electronic Medical Record
  • Understand multiple insurance coverage for Behavior Health
  • Call social workers at hospitals after fax referrals have been received
  • Refer consumers to other mental health providers in the community
  • Coordinate scheduling appointments with team members
  • Phone screening and documenting the screening
  • Provide Behavior Health Assessment including a provisional diagnosis
  • Complete 30-day treatment plans
  • Some driving to hospitals within Denver county
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION: Master's degree in psychology, social work, or other related human services degree.

EXPERIENCE: One-year experience working with severe and persistently mentally ill

people. A mental health license LCSW, LPC, LMFT or be eligible for licensure within 3

months.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Great customer service.
  • A calm and assuring voice on the phone.
  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations on the phone and intervene appropriately.
  • Familiar with DSM-5. When needed, putting consumers on a 72-hour hold.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively within a diverse workplace environment and work effectively with people from all walks of life. Commitment to understanding and working toward equity, diversity, and inclusiveness, and having brave conversations toward these goals.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Must have skills and ability to operate standard office machines such as personal Computers/laptops/similar devices, copier/printer/scanner/similar devices, business telephones and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
  • May require prolonged periods of time at a desk and repetitive movements.
  • Could occasionally require lifting up to 30 pounds.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone, and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: May require occasional evening or weekend hours.
