As an essential member of the PMA Management Corp. TPA sales and service team, this position is responsible for specific sales, marketing, and client service initiatives in the Southeast territory. The candidate will work in a coordinated manner with the PMA Management Corp. Sales Account Executives, Claims Service Managers and assigned PMA Management Corp. clients in this territory in order to provide a seamless, superior service experience for our clients.

Responsibilities:

Account Management

  • Work in conjunction with Actuarial staff to profitably price new and renewal accounts.
  • Accountable for proactively addressing and otherwise solving sales and service issues within claims, IS, accounts receivable, legal, managed care etc.
  • External - establish appropriate communication and visitation schedule for all assigned accounts based upon client's needs while also communicating to the service team
  • Internal - Collect and analyze information, feedback and determine the appropriate people within PMA to communicate information
  • Create and participate in client stewardship , claim review and account management meetings
  • Review Status reports as necessary for thoroughness
  • Analyze and understand client service goals and analyze and help interpret risk management trends including benchmarking results
Retention
  • Manage and Retain assigned TPA accounts through excellent servicing and relationship building
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with PMAMC clients and their brokers and agents
  • Assure profitability of each account by working with Actuarial and VP of PMAMC Sales
  • Coordinate all appropriate renewal activity
  • Ensure compliance to contract terms and conditions
Support New Business Sales Initiatives
  • Assist the sales team by review, respond and package for deliver PMAMC's response to assigned RFP's
  • Participate in new business presentations/pre sell activity as requested
  • Establish special handling guidelines
  • Develop and monitor takeover claims plan
  • Establish customized servicing standards
  • Set-up IS reporting and customized service requests
  • Attend and participate in industry related marketing events e.g. PRIMA, RIMS, etc.
  • Participate in the sales and marketing presentation of PMAMC services to brokers, agents and prospective clients.
  • Identify upsell opportunities within existing client relationships and coordinate with Account Executives
  • Demonstrate commitment to Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and apply knowledge of compliance policies and procedures, standards and laws applicable to job responsibilities in the performance of work.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant industry experience required, direct WC and Liability experience highly desirable. Previous Claims Service or Adjuster experience preferred.
  • Position will require travel throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
