The Senior Accountant reports to the NALP Asst. Controller and will be a key member of the RECO/NALP Accounting team and work in collaboration with NALP/RECO accounting team and NALP finance team. Candidate must be a self-starter, adept at communicating with multiple levels of an organization, and have the ability to build trust, influence, and work with teams cross functionally.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entry to record allocation of corporate charges to LP
- Prepare journal entry to Allocate Concur / Pcard transactions
- Prepare journal entry to record LP Payroll / Accrual transactions
- Prepare journal entry to record Monthly Rebate accrual (Univar)
- Support account reconciliation and journal entries for LP Rebate
- Monthly Borrowing Base Report
- Prepare Sales Cutoff journal entries
- Prepare account reconciliations as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience preparing account reconciliations and journal entries
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including month end close
- Comfortable working in a Fast-Paced Environment
- Large ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics SL a plus)
- Strong Excel skills a must
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
