Position Summary
Our client is looking for an experienced Accounts Administrator/HR Assistant that is looking for Part Time Work (2-3 days per week). This is a mid-level position which oversees many of the administrative functions our client requires a detailed working knowledge of the company's accounting functions as well as payroll processes, procedures, government regulations, and contract administration for proper billing terms. Human resource functions include recruitment and selection, good understanding of employment laws, and benefit plans administration.
Experience/Required Skills

  • Ability to operate a personal computer using Windows environment software including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and accounting software (currently using Deltek Vision/VantagePoint).
  • Ability to rapidly learn and perform tasks related to the department or unit's regulations, policies, rules, functions, procedures, or processes; assume responsibility for a major clerical function including the resolution of problems.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, selection, and job analysis techniques.
  • Ability to screen and interview applicants.
  • Knowledge of employment classification, compensation and benefits analysis and administration techniques.
  • Arrange for the employment of selected candidates as well as notify persons not hired. Communicate to department heads determine departmental employment needs and appropriate recruitment methods.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.

  • Job Description Duties
  • Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint database management
  • Process monthly client billings
  • General ledger reporting, process accounts payable, custom reporting as requested
  • Prepare annual corporate budgeting
  • Maintain checkbook and corresponding spreadsheets
  • Coordinate for monthly payroll with Contracted Accountant staff
  • Maintain employee personnel records and handbook
  • Be present at hiring interviews when requested
  • Conduct new employee orientation
  • Other duties as requested

  • Education
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Experience related to the accounting and human resources functions, which will have provided the knowledge and skills outlined below, may be substituted for the college education on a year-for-year basis.
