RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant in Chesterfield, MO.Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable Accountant will work with the Company' Business Transformation team, Company's banking partners and other members of the accounting department in streamlining accounts payable processes
• Work with sites and accounting teams to ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures throughout the procurement and payment process
• Review, challenge and enter vendor invoices for payment as applicable
• Correspond with vendors as needed and respond to inquiries on a timely basis
• Investigate outstanding check matters and issue stop-payments as needed
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions
• As an Accounts Payable Accountant, you will assist with month-end close procedures; Knowledge of month end accrual process
• Provide supporting documentation for annual financial statement audits and bank borrowing base submissions
• Assist with year-end vendor 1099 reporting and distribution
• Maintain organized electronic vendor files and perform other general office duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Accounts payable background; 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Self-starter with drive to improve processes and gain efficiencies through the use of technology and other available tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• IQMS or Oracle experience a plus
