The Department of Fine Arts at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor of Arts and Entertainment Industries Management for Fall 2021 beginning September 8, 2021. This position is to teach AAD 307 Touring and Production Management.
Course Description: AAD 307 Touring and Production Management (3 credits)
This course addresses organizing, marketing and managing tours with focus on the responsibilities of the booking agent, tour manager, and performers. Students will consider case studies, relationships, contracts with venues, transportation companies, housing, and unions, budgeting, press kits, and insurance. Professor delivering course must demonstrate professional experience and expertise as model for student success, and guide students in the final creation and presentation of a summary "touring and production portfolio" of artifacts representing the above elements.
BA with minimum ten years' professional experience as touring and/or production manager for major company(ies) or tours of national/international scope.Position Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
