Part-time Adjunct Faculty

Adjunct Faculty in the Visual and Performing Arts, Education, and Sciences provide instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in courses. An adjunct faculty position requires professionals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates for this position must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask as well as the ability to engage students. They must also be able to use technology sufficiently to use a learning management system (Canvas) and respond to email. Adjunct Faculty report to the Assistant Dean and work with full-time faculty in designing lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to ensure that students successfully meet the course objectives and outcomes. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for student evaluations, and timely and accurate submission for required instructional paperwork.
Chemistry courses available on Sugar Grove and Aurora Downtown Campus, Sept. 19 - Dec. 16:
CHM121 General Chemistry I: The lecture meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:45 in Sugar Grove (CST). The lab meets on Fridays from 11:00-13:45 in Aurora Downtown.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Chemistry or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Chemistry.
Graduate coursework and/or experience teaching.
