Physical Requirements:The physical requirements for this position include regularly sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods with repetitive motion (such as typing); walking including pushing, pulling, and/or lifting up to 10lbs and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects up to 50lbs.
Shift:Monday - Friday, Day Shift; 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hrs/wk).
Job Summary:The Department of Ophthalmology is hiring an Administrative Services Assistant to support the Department Chair and Department Administration. This position will ensure that all activities in the Ophthalmology administrative areas run smoothly and are managed effectively. In addition, this position will support faculty affairs with recruiting and onboarding new faculty, arranging faculty conference travel/reimbursement, and managing department accounts payable. The successful candidate must be strong administratively, demonstrate initiative, manage time well, and have excellent communication skills.

Preferred Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree plus two years of administrative experience.
