The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics department of Food & Nutrition is seeking an Inpatient Adult Clinical Dietitian I to use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide Medical Nutrition Therapy and nutrition counseling for patients in program areas as assigned.

• Use Nutrition Care Process to assess, evaluate, and provide medical nutrition therapy and nutrition counseling for adult and geriatric inpatients
• Teach dietetic interns
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and develop nutritional components of care
• Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the patient's status according to age

The department intends to hire one candidate from either Adult Relief Clinical Dietitian I, requisition 22005224, or Adult Relief Clinical Dietitian II, requisition 22005225, based on the qualifications of the successful candidate. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must demonstrate experience working effectively in a diverse environment

Certifications

• Registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration is required
• Licensure by the State of Iowa is required
