The Tax Analyst assists with direct and indirect income tax compliance, tax provision process, tax audits and notices and ad hoc projects as needed within the department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties and tasks may be assigned.

  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly and year-end income tax provisions using the OneSource OTP tax provision software.
  • Prepare income tax calculations for quarterly estimated tax payments and partnership estimates. Prepare fixed asset reports for all corporate and flow-through entities using the BNA fixed asset software.
  • Assist with the tax return compliance process by obtaining required reports and requests from other departments. Assist with reviewing tax compliance work papers and returns provided by consultants.
  • Compile data for governmental tax audits.
  • Prepare responses to state and local taxing authorities for all tax correspondence received and or requested.
  • Other responsibilities include maintaining property tax payments and logs, compiling monthly sales and use tax information for outside consultants, prepare W-9s and other ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Participates in team concepts and promote a team effort; performs duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/tax required; Master's degree preferred.
  • One (1) plus years of tax experience in a corporate tax department and/or national CPA firm position.
  • Knowledge of Federal and multi-state income tax return compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills to oversee multiple work assignments.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • OneSource Provision software experience a plus.
  • BNA Fixed Asset software experience a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and web based tools) and advanced Excel skills required. Proficiency in USRC applications required within 90 days of hire.
