RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an AP Specialist in Tampa, FL.Responsibilities:
  • Under the general supervision of the Accounts Payable Manager performs the responsibilities of processing Accounts Payable for one or more business unit, reconciling general ledger accounts, recording journal vouchers, and preparing monthly accruals
  • AP Specialist will contribute with ideas to the process-improvement process, and actively participates in department meetings
  • Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values of Company


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma or GED and 2+ years of high-volume AP experience or Associate degree and 1+ years high volume AP experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel with completion of an intermediate Excel Competency course required
  • Good understanding of spreadsheets and/or databases; The application of generally accepted accounting principles must be observed in the performance of duties
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Positive demeanor, excellent customer service skills, and ability to get along with others
  • Ability to process payments for complex vendors, including the ability to work with Purchasing to resolve issues associated with processing of electronic invoices, handling of sensitive payments and/or complex payments such as self-service payment request travel authorizations and expense reports
  • Ability to key/process a high volume of transactions
  • Peoplesoft Financials experience preferred


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
