We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team in the East Bay!

Responsibilities:

- Invoice Processing: Ensure accurate coding to general ledger accounts, programs, and cost centers, guaranteeing meticulous financial record-keeping.
- Expense Report Approval: Review and approve expense reports within the system to ensure precise financial tracking.
- Vendor Relations: Reconcile vendor statements to foster strong financial relationships and maintain smooth operations.
- Payment Monitoring: Keep a close eye on accounts to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices, swiftly resolving any discrepancies with vendors.
- Communication: Respond to internal inquiries and collaborate effectively with teams, facilitating seamless communication.
- Month-end Activities: Assist in month-end closing activities and handle any ad hoc requests and projects as needed to support the finance team.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

- Experience: 2-5 years of accounting experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial processes.
- Knowledge: Possess a basic understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting principles to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in various accounting systems and intermediate Excel skills to efficiently manage data and reports.
- Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail coupled with the ability to prioritize workloads, handle multiple tasks, and work independently to meet deadlines effectively.

-Role is contract and onsite.

Hourly Pay Range:$26-$35
