Overview

FULL TIME, REMOTE WORK.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday, U.S. Eastern Std. time zone. 11:00p to 7:00a.

After hours support rotation and involved in patching second weekend each month.

Position reports into IS Infrastructure management located in Richfield, OH facility (between Akron/Cleveland, OH).

The primary responsibility of this role is to support the smooth running of all critical internal applications and assist in architecting, implementing, and new supporting publishing processes for the business.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain a secure and highly available application environment for all supported applications.
  2. *Execute release (data and code) activities related to the operations and monitoring of SBS internal and external websites, critical business systems, and revenue generating systems.
  3. Develop and implement scripting and deployment techniques related to all release activities.
  4. Provide support on gathering, reporting, and analysis of performance data on WWW infrastructure.
  5. Support web site solutions utilizing IIS, Apache, Tomcat, JRUN, ColdFusion, .Net, HTML, ASP, PERL, Microsoft tools and a variety of web server and DBMS tools.
  6. * Perform troubleshooting support for all assigned software applications .
  7. *Create and adhere to SLA's for production application support.
  8. *Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and support of supported applications.
  9. *Promptly respond to the technical support needs of internal and external customers.
  10. *Work closely with other departments as needed, tracking issues to successful resolution. Keep detailed records of events, issues and resolutions in our ticket tracking system.
  11. *Provide a superior customer experience, driving overall satisfaction by proactively being a customer advocate for all customer impacting issues.
  12. * Suggest, design, implement and deploy new technologies to help SBS achieve its strategic business goals .
  13. *Troubleshoot and coordinate support for specifically-defined server-based application software.
  14. *Document and maintain documentation for practices, processes and workflows.
  15. *Adhere to Change Management practices, including review, coordination, deployment, and follow-up procedures as they relate to SBS and Industry standards .
  16. *Adhere to security measures to insure that the information assets of the Company and the commercial clients are protected at all times.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experience. Related work experience and industry recognized certifications will be considered.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in supporting server based applications, application maintenance and support.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft or Unix operating systems.
  • Some experience with tools that provide services such as application testing, web application servers, and content management.
  • Experience with tools such as StarTeam, SharePoint, Planview, MS Team Foundation Server, Jira.
  • Experience trouble-shooting applications and database issues.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer support providing mission critical support.
  • Working knowledge of programming concepts and web technologies.
  • Very good knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience with HTML, XML and XSLT a plus!
  • Excellent organizational skills required.
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills and ability to work with clients, technical staff, and vendors.
  • Good problem solving and consultative skills.
  • Good planning, project management, and implementation skills.
  • Must be a team player with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, initiative, sense of urgency, and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to work across Richfield and Noida, India locations as required.
  • Ability to travel to remote company locations or for other business related needs as required.
  • Ability to carry a cell phone and provide off hours support as required; ability to work rotating shifts outside of the 8-5, M-F time periods as required.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 60 pounds of equipment as required.
