Clinical Assistant Professor of Audiology

Position: The University of Illinois Department of Speech and Hearing Science (SHS) (http://shs.illinois.edu) is seeking to recruit an outstanding audiologist for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position as a Clinical Assistant Professor, with opportunity for advancement.

Proposed Starting Date: August 16, 2022.

Responsibilities: Provide clinical supervision to Au.D. students, schedule/coordinate placements in-house and at external sites, and develop a clinical caseload of direct service. Responsibilities also include supporting clinical instruction, contributing to teaching, program development, conducting clinical administrative tasks and/or service. There are also opportunities to contribute to collaborative research.

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a terminal degree for clinical practice in Audiology, have certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and be eligible for an Illinois Audiology license. A minimum of 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience is preferred. Some previous experience with clinical supervision/instruction of undergraduate and/or graduate students and experience with online course development is also preferred. Individuals with demonstrated interests in amplification and/or aural rehabilitation are encouraged to apply. Additionally, individuals with an interest in teaching a diverse population of students and serving a broad spectrum of clients are encouraged to apply.

Salary: Commensurate with experience.
