1. Experience
o Create a welcoming environment for all participants with special attention to new comers
o Act in a positive manner that motivates participants to improve
o Start on time and end on time
o Teach class to member, don't perform. Class should be fun
o Keep music in good taste and appropriate for genre
2. Safety
o Keep group exercise rooms clean and equipment is stored neatly at the end of class
o Volume control at appropriate level - measured
o Teach classes in a safe manner with modifications provided when appropriate
o Inform supervisor immediately of all equipment problems
3. Quality
o Educate within scope of knowledge
o Be prepared to teach class to format described in the group ex schedule
o Have music and microphone checked and ready for the beginning of class
o Find appropriate coverage for missed classes (no canceled classes) and be willing to cover when needed

Qualifications
Experience Preferred/Desired
• 6 months - 1 year actively teaching large groups
Training Minimum Required
• Active Group Fitness or personal training certification from an approved provider that will be relevant to the class being taught
Licensure and/or Certifications Required
• CPR within 3 months of hire
