Williams Form Engineering is looking to hire individuals to join our manufacturing team in our Portland, OR Assembly Department. We are looking for dedicated employees who are willing to show initiative, dedication and are driven to succeed. Williams is looking for the right person to develop into the next leader. As an assembler you will learn valuable skills including machine safety and operation, mechanical skills, how to read and interpret blueprints/engineered drawings, problem solving, decision making, teamwork, and how to build production schedules. Primary Responsibilities
• Prepares work to be accomplished by reading assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

• Positions parts and subassemblies by using gages or reading measurements.

• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.

• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and notifying supervisor for repairs.

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with company standards, procedures, policies and regulations.

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies and verifying receipt of supplies.

• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.

• Follow ERP procedures for login, logout and start/stop production while coordinating with floor supervisor during the process.

• Recognize basic sequence of operations with assistance from supervisor.

• Notify supervisor of major malfunctions or when machine maintenance is needed.

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:
Quality Focus, Power Controls and Instrumentation, Equipment Maintenance, Manufacturing Experience, Manufacturing Quality, Mechanical Inspection Tools, Safety Management, Tooling, Judgement, Decision Making
• High School Diploma or GED, or 1-2 years related experience and/or training preferred

• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required

• Manual dexterity required for operating hand tools

• Familiar with blueprint reading

• Ability to effectively communicate information to supervisor and/or other employees

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted required

• Able to stand, walk, bend and twist for at least seven hours per day

• US Citizen or Green Card holder

Working Conditions:

Working Conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment including mechanical noise and fluctuating temperatures. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product. Machinery and assembly operations require the use of safety equipment to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
