The typical work week is M-F (8:30-4:30pm) with occasional evening and weekend work.


PRIMARY PURPOSE//POSITION SUMMARY: Recruitment and enrollment of transfer students.

JOB COMPONENTS//PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Counsels prospective students and their families on Dominican University admission processes, policies, and educational opportunities at various stages of the college search and enrollment process.
  • Advises students on transfer credit guidelines and the use of transfer tools, general admission criteria, scholarships, and financial aid resources. Evaluates completed applications for university and major/program specific admission criteria as well as potential scholarship opportunities.
  • Maintains proactive outreach and timely responses to prospects and applicants through the full enrollment lifecycle using all available communication tools.
  • Conducts admissions presentations and provides one-on-one appointments with students and families in person, by phone, or virtually.
  • Manages an assigned community college territory in the Chicagoland area (inclusive of travel); coordinates transfer recruitment events and programming for assigned territory (i.e., college fairs, table visits, and appointments)
  • Develops familiarity with community college curricula for assigned territory and informs leadership on opportunities for curriculum alignment and transfer pathways.
  • Collaborates with other offices at Dominican to meet the needs of enrolling transfer students, facilitating seamless delivery of services.
  • Assists with special projects on behalf of an administrator. Provides support in the planning, design, development, and implementation of short- and long-term projects for an organization, school, or administrative/academic unit. Coordinates and schedules activities to meet project objectives, and prepares status reports on project plans, progress, and results of activities.
  • Contributes to communication planning and content of transfer marketing materials.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, requested, or delegated. The Office of Enrollment Management reserves the right to add, change, or reassign duties at any time.

MINIMUM/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 3 years professional experience in higher education in the areas of student recruitment, student services, and/or marketing within a highly diverse population
  • Must have a driver's license. Travel and access to a vehicle required for performing territory management.
    Job offer will be pending a background screening

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Creative, innovative, and highly organized and committed to college access and inclusion
  • Ability to demonstrate strong listening, speaking and communication skills, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Slate CRM (or similar) experience preferred
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred
