Overview

The Assistant Marketing Manager (AMM) is critical to supporting strategies to deliver continued growth in Innerwear's Shapewear business. The AMM will be the team lead for the Maidenform & Bali brands within the MidTier/Dept Store, Amazon, B2C, and Clubs accounts, as well as assist in developing New Business strategy. This individual will lead/assist on initiatives including, but not limited to: product development, pricing strategy, portfolio/assortment maintenance, account management, packaging, point-of-purchase communication, promotional/launch strategy development, inventory/E&O/TIL management, and general business initiatives including monthly reporting/analysis and actions to drive sales and reduce inventory. Additionally, this person will play a role with Brand/PR initiatives as they relate to the MTDS channel and new product launches.

With limited supervision, the candidate will work independently on assigned projects but also contribute to collaborative efforts within the overall team, such as the Full Potential Initiative. Must exhibit initiative and drive, resourcefulness, problem solving skills, and effectively communicate cross-functionally for optimal effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership on Key Accounts/Initiatives: Lead specific brand and retailer initiatives in the MidTier/Dept Store channel and Amazon; move quickly and proactively execute compelling product, pricing, promotional/launch, distribution and communication strategies/action plans to achieve annual sales and profit goals. Comfortable in front of retail customers for sell-in and Intimate Apparel Market appointments.
  • Executional Success & Accountability: Takes the initiative on assigned projects and ensures successful completion of key milestones to achieve desired business results with speed and accuracy. A strong focus on the results, as well as the process of getting there.
  • Critical Thinking Skills: Utilizes various data sources as well as overall marketplace insights to develop programs/initiatives to address product white space, drive sales and achieve financial metrics.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzes data from internal and syndicated sources to monitor marketplace trends and to support strategies to drive the category. Stays up to date on the competitive offerings and retail landscape.
  • Communication: Effectively organizes and executes communication with various cross-functional teams within HBI. Cross-functional team interaction will be a critical component of the position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Keen attention to detail; problem solving, multi-tasking and prioritization capabilities.
  • Computer skills, including an advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to gain proficiency in new software packages.
  • Must subscribe to and exhibit highest standards of business ethics.
