ASSISTANT PROFESSOR -

INDUSTRIAL/ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY PROGRAM

LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY

Job Summary:

The Department of Psychology at Louisiana State University is accepting applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant level within the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program effective August 2023. This appointment will be full-time (nine-month), with an attractive 2-2 teaching load. The position requires 1) engaging in research activity including seeking external funding, publishing journal articles/book chapters, and presenting research at conferences, 2) teaching and supervising graduate and undergraduate students, 3) participating in departmental, college, and university service commensurate with rank.

We are seeking a colleague who can contribute to the growing and energetic faculty in the I/O area. Although we are open to all substantive areas of expertise within I/O psychology, preference will be given to applicants whose research complements the existing research program of the I/O faculty as well as those who can advance the LSU's strategic initiative in conducting research in the area of Big Data, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence. We are also particularly interested in scholars with statistical or methodological expertise (e.g., multi-level modeling, meta-analysis, psychometrics). ABDs near completion and advanced Assistant Professors are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications:

A Ph.D. in I/O Psychology or a closely related field with specialization substantively relevant to I/O Psychology is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with strong quantitative and methodological skills in areas related to Data Science.
