NEW HIRE SALARY RANGE: $61,285 - $72,100 per year

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide clinical and administrative oversight to a diverse clinical outpatient treatment team to ensure staff receives appropriate supervision and support. Maintain and enhance ongoing delivery of outpatient mental health treatment services as well as associated community partnerships. The outpatient services include comprehensive therapeutic services across the entire lifespan with an emphasis on children, adolescents, and their families. Support the ongoing training and development of supervisees as well as the implementation of specialty treatment initiatives. In collaboration with the Program Manager, oversee the management of team operations and work to maximize efficiencies while ensuring the highest quality of care possible for the individuals we serve along with the well-being and meaningful engagement of staff members.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide both clinical and administrative supervision for Child & Family Outpatient providers.
  • Work with individual team members to solve day-to-day clinical issues and to optimize service delivery to meet the needs of the individuals and families we serve.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and managing day-to-day operations of the team.
  • Monitor and oversee team budget and strategic planning.
  • Participate in the hiring process for clinical and support positions on the team.
  • Provide input and feedback regarding individual team member performance in terms of strengths and opportunities for growth. Conduct disciplinary discussions and actions as necessary.
  • Support the coordination of training and foster development of clinical staff to ensure a consistently high quality of care with an emphasis on ongoing growth and learning.
  • Ensure that standards of quality and efficiency in service delivery and documentation are met.
  • Collaborate with fellow Mental Health Center of Denver programs, community partners, and referral sources through prompt and regular communication to enhance the services offered to those we serve.
  • Support the collection of all required outcome, evaluation, and billing data.
  • Help lead and actively participate in weekly team administrative meetings and clinical supervision.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager and Director of Clinical Services for Child & Family Services.
EDUCATION: Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or Psychologist. Licensure required.

EXPERIENCE: At least three years in mental health or human service field working with children and families. One or more years of supervisory and/or program management experience strongly preferred.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Self-motivated and directed, demonstrate strong relationship-building skills, have experience with infrastructure development and hold a high value for diversity.
  • Ability to establish collaborative partnerships with therapists and fellow community organizations.
  • Ability to assess needs of children and their families and develop supportive engagement and therapeutic treatment recommendations.
  • Knowledge of mental health diagnosis (DSM-5), treatment interventions, and psychotherapy modalities (with particular expertise in children, adolescents, and families).
  • Knowledge and expertise in the realm of clinical supervision.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Flexibility, adaptability as well as the ability to focus attention on workflow processes, procedures, budgetary guidelines, and documentation/productivity standards.
  • The ability to laugh with others and have a sense of humor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: At least once monthly individual clinical and administrative supervision with assigned supervisees and facilitate weekly small group clinical supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS/SCHEDULE: Full-time. Outpatient clinic hours vary by location but include Monday through Thursdays 8am-7pm and Fridays 8am-5pm, some flexibility depending on schedule needs is possible. May involve some evening or occasional weekend events.

PHYSICAL REQIUREMENTS: Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
