Job Summary:

The Accounting Clerk assumes a pivotal role in bolstering the company's financial operations by meticulously inputting data into the system, processing payments, encompassing trucking, live producers, grade & yield hogs, subject hogs, and insurance claims. Additionally, this position entails proficient management of shipping documents, reconciliation of accounts, meticulous auditing of scale tickets, and helping across varied accounting functions as necessary. Ensuring precise and punctual entry of all lots into the accounting system is among the primary responsibilities. Furthermore, the Accounting Clerk liaises with pertinent stakeholders to facilitate prompt dispatch of shipping documents, oversees the efficient management of insurance claims payments, and adeptly handles Bill of Lading (BOL) documents. Maintaining meticulous financial records, which includes balancing shift books, filing carbon checks, and conducting thorough audits of scale tickets to guarantee accuracy and compliance, is integral to this role. Furthermore, the Accounting Clerk extends support to the accounting team and other departments as required, all while upholding stringent adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

Available one Saturday a month for close.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 3 plus years of office experience required

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills including generating simple spreadsheets; Microsoft Office; knowledge of Tyson Systems SAP Vistex Deal Capture and TBM preferred.

Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication.

Special Skills: Strong organizational analytical and problem-solving skills; knowledge of multiple business units accounting requirements and general ledger coding.
