The new Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion will report to the Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students and will be responsible for developing and supporting campus-wide initiatives in service to Bridgewater College's goals for an equitable and inclusive environment for students and employees, especially those from traditionally underrepresented populations. In this role, the Associate Dean must be adept at facilitating challenging cultural dialogue, building community, and creating and strengthening partnerships across campus. The Associate Dean of Students will serve as a member of the Student Life leadership team and will supervise the Chaplain and the Coordinator for Diversity Education & Advocacy.

QUALIFICATIONS:
A doctorate in a related field is preferred although consideration will be given to candidates with a master's degree and significant administrative and Student Life operations experience. While not an exhaustive list, candidates for this position will have a minimum of five years of demonstrated success working with culturally diverse communities of students and staff, including traditionally underrepresented and international student populations, proven experience in mediation and de-escalation, and recognized leadership and experience in advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging within a complex organization. The ability to thrive as a member of a high-functioning team with demonstrated judgment, analysis, and decision-making skills is highly valued.

Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
