Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department in alignment with broader business objectives.

Specific Job Summary

As a leader within the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence, the Director AI Discovery and Mobilization is responsible for driving the development, expansion and mobilization of the project pipeline. This includes holding meetings and workshops with functional and operational leaders and associates at all levels of the organization and across all functions to identify new project hypotheses, develop the business case for those hypotheses and then oversee the mobilization of the projects. Once the project is mobilized, this leader will be the primary liaison between the business stakeholders and the technical teams.

  • Manages larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress and results.
  • Responds to, solves and makes decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and/or moderate risk. Presents alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.
  • Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff. Typically influences work of cross-functional or extended teams.

Specific Expected Contributions

  • Lead Artificial Intelligence prospecting and educational workshops with functional leadership
  • Own hypothesis formulation, hypothesis testing and data-driven validation; estimate opportunity benefits and create business cases
  • Perform technical feasibility analysis of new hypotheses and engage technical resources as appropriate
  • Drive prioritization of AI opportunities and help manage overall pipeline
  • Engage teams across functions and align stakeholders and sponsors to mobilize opportunities for implementation
  • Liaise with AI Solution Leads and business stakeholders to define opportunity scope and link it to implementation plan
  • Drive initial access provisioning and completion of data requests
  • Track and report actual vs projected benefits for AI solutions

Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Generally a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations as well as associate and/or organizational management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.

Specific Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years industry experience or an MBA/PMP with 5+ years relevant work experience.
  • Previous consulting experience preferred
  • Experience managing IT projects or large business initiatives
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of RPA, Chatbot or Advanced Analytics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to seamlessly work cross-functionally and across levels in the organization
