ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR/DIRECTOR - INNOVATION, CPG

JOB OVERVIEW

We're seeking an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR or DIRECTOR to work primarily within our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) vertical for our NYC, DENVER OR CHICAGO office. We are looking for someone with previous CPG experience (food, beverage, pet care, personal care, home care), where the work experience has been centered around Innovation. (There will be opportunity to work across other verticals, e.g. Lifestyle and Consumer Health).

Innovation experience is required , and you'll need to be able to source insights across a variety of touchpoints including consumer behavior, cultural macrotrends and category dynamics, and lead teams and workstreams in using these insights to identify and solve for innovation opportunities (typically for new products/services/experiences). You'll also be leading consumer collaborations and ideation sessions, and iterating with consumers or other influencers (travel is variable, anticipated to be 25-35%).

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are seeking teammates with 7+ (10+ for Director level) years working with big brands (or smaller, interesting ones) particularly within the strategy and innovation space. Strong preference for candidates with experience working within an innovation consultancy.

• We're looking for someone who understands how (and why) designing products and services can drive growth for our clients.
• Has experience leading a team of multidisciplinary thinkers and partnering with clients to develop innovative new products or experiences - nurturing innovation from initial idea spark, then bringing them life via concepts and setting up for go-to-market success.
• Has experience drawing inspiration from across different categories and disciplines and/or excels at making connections between seemingly disparate pieces of information.
• Has hands-on experience leading projects centered around brand-building, growth strategy, productinnovation and creation of concepts and new product positioning, and consumer iteration.
• Proven ability to meet new business targets highly desirable.
