Associate, Risk Management

The Associate, Risk Management is a key member of the Legal & Risk Management team, supporting claim handling along with robust, accurate and actionable data intelligence through incidents, safety records, and claims and the software platforms that support such data. This individual should have an interest in a career in Risk Management and will contribute meaningfully to the strategic vision of the department through accurate data reporting and recordkeeping. This individual will have an ongoing book of claims within authority for handling and settlement. This ideal candidate will feel comfortable managing long-term projects with varying stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization. This individual should have a basic understanding of property and casualty insurance and risk management with a special passion for construction. Key to this position are strong organization, communication, and data analytics skills. The ideal candidate has a baseline understanding of various types of insurance claims and the functional process of claim management and is enthusiastic to grow their career with a national General Contractor. They are highly organized, self-motivated, solution-oriented, and committed to sticking with a task from start to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Management and collaboration of property & casualty incidents and claims including incident investigation, follow up and closure
• Claim reporting and management including but not limited to auto physical damage, property, and medical-only workers compensation
• Responsible for successful claim outcome in collaboration with insurance claims professionals and within settlement authority
• Detail-minded risk data analytics and reporting including claim & incident trends including periodic and ad hoc reporting to Legal & Risk Mgt leadership and Principal Leadership Team
• Health & Safety data administration utilizing health & safety software
• Safety occurrence and incident management and reporting including data integrity collaboration
• Implementation and Administration of Risk Management Information Software
• Participate in Emergency Response Team in coordination, administration, and recordkeeping role
• Reporting and data management for OSHA / State OSHA including annual data compilation for all jobsites

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, Safety, or related fields

Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction (AEC) field or real estate development highly desirable

Solution-focused problem solving and critical thinking skills considering varied perspectives

Project management minded time management for oversight of multiple projects, deliverables, deadlines, and priorities

Adept with data analytics and excel, and/or demonstrated willingness and acumen to learn

Exceptional written and oral communication skills to clearly articulate insurance and safety concepts, processes, and expectations

Detail-oriented, thoughtful, and thorough approach to tasks

Ownership and accountability for assigned tasks
