Description:
Full-time replacement position for Audiologist to diagnose and manage hearing disorders, and to provide on-demand diagnostic evaluations for ENT clinics.

Provide diagnostic and treatment/management services to patients as detailed in the Job Description.
Position Summary: Provide to LUHS patients all audiology services including audiologic assessment (behavioral and electrophysiologic), balance testing (VNG), prosthetic device management and dispensing (including personal wearable amplification systems, hearing protection systems, assistive listening devices and implantable hearing devices), tinnitus assessment, and potentially intra-operative monitoring (N. VIII).

III. Position Requirements:

Minimum Education:

Required: Masters Degree

Preferred: Doctorate of Audiology (AuD) or Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) Specify Degree(s): MA, MS, PhD Minimum Experience:

Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications:

Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Preferred: N/A Other: Current Audiology License State of Illinois or License-pending.

License-pending is defined as follows: A person applying for an initial license to practice audiology who is a recent graduate of a Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation-approved audiology program may practice as an audiologist for a period of 60 days after the date of application or until disposition of the license application by the Department, whichever is sooner, provided that he or she meets the applicable requirements of Section 8 of this Act. Section 8 requires that the applicant meet the following qualifications: 1 be at least 21 years of age; 2. Not have violated any provisions of Section 16 of this Act which will result in refusal, revocation or suspension of licenses by the Department; 3. present satisfactory evidence of having received a doctoral degree in audiology from a program approved by the Department; 4. Pass a national examination recognized by the Department in the theory and practice of the profession; 5. Completed a minimum of 1,500 clock hours of supervised experience or present evidence of a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree.
