RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a regional CPA firm in Fairfield NJ is seeking an Audit Manager. They will be responsible for managing & performing audits for publicly traded & privately held companies in a variety of industries. Responsibilities:- Identifies and communicates to management and audit committee suggestions to improve client internal controls and accounting procedures
- Identify and delegates functions of the audit to the auditor in charge as deemed appropriate
- Supervise the work of audit team and review workpapers and conclusions preferably onsite during audit field work
- Identifies and consults with clients on the impact of new accounting pronouncements
- Presents and discusses alternative generally accepted accounting principles and arguments for/against such alternatives
- Drafts complex financial statements and related footnote disclosures and effectively communicates these to client
- Identifies complex accounting issues and forms and documents resolution, seeking counsel of the firm's audit partners as needed
- Applies a thorough knowledge of professional standards/practices, including GAAS and PCAOB in performing and supervising work
- Prepares or reviews required communications to management and audit committees, ensuring timeliness and completeness
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA is required
- 10+ years of experience with public accounting audit for a variety of industries
- Experience managing staff
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
