What You'll Do

The Assistant Vice President, Marketing, leads a team of experienced professionals responsible for developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies and thought leadership that puts members and potential members first. This role inspires and models strategic thinking across the organization to improve our focus on member-centered growth and relevancy. Additionally, this person works closely with business unit leadership as well as the other Marketing, Brand + Innovation (MB+I) leaders to champion an insight and experience focused approach in all marketing, brand strategy, and product development, while also influencing revenue forecasts and analysis. The Assistant Vice President, Marketing plays a critical role in building a Well-Known, Well-Loved Brand and delivering upon other Key Success Factors (KSFs), strategic initiatives and key projects.

The Lake Trust MB+I team is driven to maximize the credit union's growth and brand equity towards our vision of a World in Which Everyone Thrives. The Assistant Vice President, Marketing will lead a team with a deep understanding of these organizational and departmental objectives and will use their powers of thoughtfulness, analytical thinking, and creativity to best align Lake Trust's marketing and communications programs to these goals.

  • Provide effective leadership and development of a team of skilled strategists and marketing professionals. Lead colleagues that partner with key organizational leaders to recommend and deliver marketing plans with thoughtful strategies that support overall departmental and organizational goals while reflecting a strong brand image. Champion the career growth of team members and seek opportunities to build marketing resources (or a talent pipeline) throughout the credit union.
  • Develop and oversee the staffing and prioritization to ensure that effective marketing strategies and projects are launched, completed on time, measured and coordinated between appropriate business functions.
  • Ensure the team is utilizing member and market research in the development of strategies that resonate with the target audiences. Collaborate in identifying needs for additional research and/or data to inform appropriate segmentation and micro-targeting approaches.
  • Collaborate in developing and managing the MB+I budget including the appropriate fund allocations to best support the achievement of the organization's goals. Manage the appropriate allocation of the paid media budget and monitor/build the necessary tracking mechanisms to optimize all media spend.

What You'll Bring

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or Business degree with deep experience in marketing.
  • At least 5 years' experience managing and leading teams.
  • At least 10 years' marketing experience.
  • At least 5 years' financial services marketing management strongly preferred.
