Things you'll do:

 

  • Be responsible for the implementation and growth of certain elements of the AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • As part of the team, you will write the code that both creates and configures the infrastructure needed to run applications.
  • Build software solutions where the problem is not well defined.
  • Build highly scalable, cloud-native applications using services like Amazon API Gateway, etc.
  • Interact with other Data Engineers and Data Scientists to solve problems related to data and implement high impact, new solutions.
  • Lead technical projects to deploy new tools or features.
  • Take the initiative to determine how a system should work and share your opinion if you identify a better approach.
  • Continue to develop professionally by means of education, certification, or mentorship with a more seasoned team member.

 

Skills and Experience You Need:

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software-development experience
  • 2+ years programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new current systems
  • Experience using AWS
  • Experience designing and building web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, and S3
  • Ability to interact with other principal architects, engineers, and data scientists to implement impactful new data as a service solutions

How You'll Stand Out

 

  • Experience in several tech tools and platforms like Hadoop, Kafka, Kubernetes, Redshift, Scala, Spark, or SQL
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
  • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  • Prior experience working in an Agile (DevOps) environment
We believe in good faith that compensation for a successful candidate based in Colorado would be between the range listed below.

Compensation range for this role for U.S. Colorado Residents
Minimum: $82,900 +bonus
Maximum: $126,065 +bonus
Compensation Type: Salary
