Job Title: Fire Protection Inspector - Backflow

The primary function of this role is to perform backflow inspections and staying compliant with the Ohio Department of Commerce.

This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment with a focus towards customer development and support, quality work performance, and an understanding of all the necessary backflow requirements It will require travel to customer sites.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform basic troubleshooting of backflow devices and describe them to owners and service managers for repairs.
  • Monitor and assure progress and completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports to administrative personnel in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for self-scheduling of daily inspections.
  • Up-sell Company capabilities to new and existing customers.
  • Perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level, as necessary.
  • Perform annual inspections on both domestic and fire backflows.
Qualifications:

Education / Work Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2+ years of related work experience is required.
  • Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the operational characteristics of domestic and fire backflows is required.
  • Individual backflow license is a required.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 25, and 72 is a plus.
Computer Skills:
  • Computer Skills: Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
