Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity available for a Benchmarking Analyst. This position is located in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

Support the leader of the Global Metrics Focal Network

  • Drive development and implementation of global data reporting and metrics business rules

  • Coach/train Site Measurement SME's and users on GPM Measurements tool and work process

  • Lead the implementation of metrics and data collection process for the GPM Measurement System

  • Validation of the accuracy of data and measurements & compliance to Business rules of the GPM Measurement System

  • Liaison between Network and Leadership in driving the reporting and data analysis of the site's results

Lead Metric Initiatives:

  • Initiate and participate in metric improvements

  • Provide or lead the analysis of data to predict trends/targets and forecast results.

  • Lead or support other Metric Owners and/or stakeholders with gap closures

  • Partner with Project Execution GILs (i.e., Field Execution GILs, Project Controls GILs, PMO Leader, Manufacturing Representative GIL, etc) to ensure alignment in the metrics, methodology and data collection plans

  • Communicate new or enhanced metric methodology and global results

  • Identify data & measurement needs to be collected and correlate actions/results

Lead Metric Visibility Efforts:

  • Coordinate development and implementation of dashboards to make Project Execution Performance Metrics visible to all stakeholders for improved performance

  • Develop multi-generation plans for dashboard

  • Develop and drive training/coaching to teams on use of dashboard

  • Develop means to provide comprehensive drill-down capabilities for all metrics - enable stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Partner with other functions to develop plans for dashboard

IPA Benchmarking Support:

  • Support the IPA Focal Point providing another point of contact between IPA and Project Teams - address questions, requests, training needs, etc.

  • Communicate requirements/needs from teams to IPA and vice versa, as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or in a Science or technical discipline is required.

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in Manufacturing and Engineering is required.

  • Team Leadership skills are beneficial

  • Data analysis experience is required.
