Kforce has a client that is seeking a Bookkeeper/Accountant in Glen Burnie, MD.Responsibilities:
Full cycle Accounts Receivable review, including oversight of preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records
Accounts Payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance
Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository accounts
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; Reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed
General ledger maintenance
Prepare monthly financial statements for multiple entities
Maintain required business documents
Assistance with the annual budget and audit process
Maintain financial document retention files
Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies
Deposit and cash reporting review and oversight
Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
Conduct reviews of departmental SOP's
Provide ad-hoc business analysis to business unit leadership
Recommend and implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, cut costs, and maintain state-of-the-art practices
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Minimum of 5-7 years of direct Full Charge Bookkeeping or Accounting experience in a multi-entity organization with various levels of accounting complexities
Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience); Oracle Fusion or Intacct highly preferred.
Certification from American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers (AIPB) or National Association of Public Bookkeeping (NACPB) Highly Preferred
Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and understanding of internal controls
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
Highly organized and detail oriented
Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
