A bookkeeper is needed for a growing company in Coraopolis. We are currently seeking individuals to assist the management team on daily accounting data entry, along with assisting in preparation of department and corporate financial reporting preparation. The positions requires the knowledge for all accounting functions with QuickBooks pro2016 with accurate record keeping, validating invoices, management of chart of accounts and use of class codes.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter daily deposit and order detail under the corporate divisions.
  • Work with departmental managers in validating invoices for accuracy and obtain manager approvals to issue payment.
  • A/P data entry, account and classification coding, entry of ach payments, etc.
  • Manages all company credit cards - monitors card activity, disputes errors, reconcile and post transaction receipts/statements, data entry into QB of expense, division and project tracking codes.
  • Work with Accounting Manager to ensure accuracy of QB record-keeping for tax return prep - federal, state, and property.
  • Maintain historical accounting records by filing documents and other clerical duties as needed.
  • Responsible for assisting Accounting Manager in areas such as financial reporting, year-end closing, and working with outside auditors to furnish information necessary for the annual corporate and division audits
  • Provide information needed by upper management for the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Reconcile corporate bank accounts, accounts payable on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Responsible for gathering obtaining required vendor tax information and assist in preparing 1099s and any other associated record keeping.
  • Ongoing reporting of department/project expenditures and validation of quote to actual expense differential
  • Other duties as needed such as office administrative support.
  • Provide customer support as needed including answering phone calls and emails.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in use of QuickBooks Pro2016 software
  • Understanding of business accounting and use of chart of accounts/class codes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective at multi-tasking
  • Excellent communicator
  • Thorough in approach to job responsibilities
