Job Summary

This BRM Portfolio Manager is a customer facing role that is critical to build and cultivate relationships with all levels of the business that lead to a trusted IT advisor. Being part of the IT vision and strategy by contributing to the current IT Portfolio in the Procurement and SCM space via contributions to projects and small enhancements while keeping support tickets a high priority within targeted SLA's and software platforms that are compliant both from a SOX standpoint as well as software upgrades planned as part of the support model.

Responsibilities:

  • This position leads the task of writing requirements to formally document business requirements into a SOR and or functional specifications off from the discussions with business and software partners.
  • The position requires proven experience in following industry standard business analysis techniques and methods to elicit and validate business requirements
  • Experience in modeling business processes and defining business data models is required.
  • Effective planning and facilitation skills are critical to this role, including the ability to negotiate challenging differences of opinion between key stakeholders during meetings.
  • Experience in working with E2open, XPO, Data2Logistcis, with a strong understanding of item / supplier masters from a Oracle stand point (ERP) would be a positive taking the role of the functional expert, System IT admin, combined with the end-to-end knowledge around logistics and procurement business processes knowledge in the areas of : PO collaboration, ASN/Shipments, forecast, external supplier support models, involving, VMI, consignment, to name a few key business process this role would support.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process models, use cases, scenarios, storyboards, business analysis, task and workflow analysis
  • Interface with vendor partners and design optimal solutions to integrate with existing business systems
  • Accurately estimate the business requirements for ideas leading to a proposal by facilitating software evaluation with proposals that include cost, timing, resources, and functionality scorecards leading to a recommendation to the business team.
  • Serve as the conduit between the business community, IT teams, and the software development team through which requirements flow
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
  • Assist in defining quality assurance testing strategy and identifying risks
  • Ensure issues and defects are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner
  • Deliver effective, informative, and well-organized presentations
  • Drive high level project management around small projects and or enhancements with excellent communications to ensure scope, timing, and budgets are adhered to.
  • People management as it relates to employees, contract positions, and staff augmentation positions that maybe supporting the portfolio
  • Strict adherence to a demand management process with the business teams to process new ideas and ideas that are approved into proposals that support the decision-making process to kick off the project of planning for next fiscal year.
  • Responsible to drive a monthly operational report out on SLA's around the support of the Logistics and Trade Compliance IT portfolio as well as software partner meetings.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • 8-10 years of industry experience in Information Technology
  • Experience working in global corporation preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in business analysis roles with 2-3 years in manager position leading people or multiple projects / portfolios.
  • Be able to support some travel to meet with customers, IT teams across the globe
  • Experience using enterprise requirements elicitation and management tools and methodologies
  • Experience with Agile delivery methods is desired with SCRUM techniques
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, development, testing (integration, user, and performance), implementation, and support
  • Experience with SOX Compliance controls, Oracle, & Power BI or other reporting tools is desired
  • End to end Logistics and Trade Compliance business process understanding also highly desired
  • Effective facilitation skills are required to manage meetings effectively
  • Effective business case development skills are required
  • Ability to lead and negotiate business solutions that balance technical capability, cost, and time, against business need is required
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously is required
  • Must possess strong leadership skills and generate enthusiasm among team members
  • Must be capable of functioning as both Business Analyst, Support Role, and Project Manager for small enhancement & projects
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and business customer mindsets is desired
  • Must be detailed-oriented and demonstrate diligence in holding self and stakeholders accountable to objectives
