The Power BI Business Analyst is leader in their function, responsible for bridging the gap between Mauser Packaging Solutions' (MPS) current processes/technologies and the future state MPS wants to achieve. He/she is a strategic problem solver focusing on streamlining and improving business flows to increase efficiencies and improve ROI through Business Intelligence.

Responsibilities:

• Enable business partners to leverage Business Intelligence tools for their analytical needs
• Design and build enterprise dashboard solutions
• Enable business partners through supporting Power BI, coaching and training to clients to use Business Intelligence tools
• Ability to develop and monitor data quality metrics and ensure business data and reporting needs are met
• Ability to provide consultative leadership skills to business partners
• Partner with stakeholders, business users and the Application Teams to analyze, identify, prioritize and document business requirements, context diagrams, processes modeling, use cases, user stories and storyboards for technology requests and workflow improvements using appropriate data visualization best practices.
• Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
• Develop user test cases that map to functional requirements. Lead & evaluate success of user accepting testing.
• Ensure the delivered product materially meets the success criteria as stated in the project charter. If gaps exist, work with the business to evaluate impacts and determine path to resolve.
• Persuade internal and external stakeholders of the benefits of new technology or strategies

Capabilities:

• Strong technology and analytical skills related to Power BI, Data Modeling, Warehousing, SQL, Familiar with ETL Processing

• Ability to understand and work with complex data structures

• Excellent oral, written communication, Interpersonal and consultative skills, knows how to "read the room", ability to facilitate (remote or in person, interview, or group sessions) requirements gathering, process documentation, and ability to translate data into actionable insights driven capabilities
• Fastidious attention to detail
• Ability to learn on his/her feet
• Understanding of basic technologies & typical constraints (and to know when to ask for help!). Familiarity with the SAP, QAD, and Solomon ERP landscape are a plus
• Familiar with ITIL, Project Management and Development methodologies
• Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or Computer Science
• 5+ years of proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity
• 2-3 years' experience building & creating data models, dashboards and reports with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI
• Some experience with QlikView is a plus
• High proficiency with MS productivity toolse
