A Global Provider of Financial Services Technology Company is seeking a Business Analyst in Atlanta, GA.

Role Description

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a senior level resource responsible for IT service delivery to merchant acquiring business units. In this role, you will be the functional expert and will serve as the point of contact and a bridge between various business units and the GBS Technology organization. You will be responsible for helping to define the business needs for new and/or enhanced applications, services, or optimized business processes. Additionally, you will participate in meetings between product, business, customers, and IT to ensure alignment.

• Work to create requirements, assist to prioritize work, and determine acceptance criteria for the development team
• Contribute to the Vision, Roadmap, and Product Backlog with your experience and insights
• Listen and apply the priorities of the work around you in an appropriate manner to guide the team in the right direction
• Serve as the liaison between strategic business units, business partners and IT teams
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and convert them to requirements/user stories (along with supporting documentation as needed)
• Be available to the team (Business and IT), and work hand in hand with them on a daily basis
• Responsible for taking ownership of multiple projects and/or feature enhancements and seeing them to successful completion (per "Acceptance" criteria)
• Assist in evolving team processes and driving continuous improvement by continuously seeking out and applying feedback Be a Functional Expert for the Organization
• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, and prior experience
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, understanding what is truly needed (not just what is requested). Decompose high-level requirements into low-level ones or conversely abstract up from low-level processes to a generalized business understanding
• Troubleshoot and identify gaps with existing systems/processes such as, but not limited to, manual processes that can easily be automated, lack of appropriate tracking systems, security risks and vulnerabilities
• Drive the resolution of requirement/design issues by coordinating and facilitating solutions between various people, teams and disciplines
• Collaborate with a broad spectrum of individuals (from C-levels to individual contributors) to establish and preserve the business and technical vision. Negotiate tradeoffs in scope, cost and delivery dates
• Work on a daily basis with Programmer Analysts and Quality Assurance Analysts to refine requirements, anticipate issues and respond with agility to scope changes. Provide timely clarification of business and processing logic
• Identify dependencies between your team and other teams
• Create the appropriate documentation to support current and future development
• Maintain documentation related to project progress and in accordance with the delivery methodology
• Ensure, through review and verification, that project deliverables meet the specifications, including timeliness and quality
• Analyze and consult on select production support issues (as escalated by the Operations team)
