Job Description Summary:
The Business Analyst - Workforce Planner will support workforce planning activities in the Finance department and may also provide budget analysis support.

Job Description:

The analyst will partner with the workforce planning team and the budget manager to ensure accuracy and efficiency in tracking and reporting Finance workforce metrics to enable strategic decision-making and accountability. Additionally, there may be activities the analyst is asked to do to support project budgets through reconciliations, responding to questions, and the procurement processes. The analyst will apply best practice in financial accounting, analysis, budget management, process improvement, and reporting.

The analyst should be able to demonstrate a high level of analytical ability, technical proficiency, and business acumen in the following areas of responsibility and experience.

Key Responsibilities May Include (but not limited to):

• Provide thought leadership and business support in the tracking and reporting of workforce metrics for Finance
• Partner with team leadership and Finance business leaders to understand and track changes in headcount allocations
• Validate systems of record accurately reflect business leader expectations for their workforce to enable accurate reporting
• Partner with Human Resources, Financial Planning & Analytics, and other business leaders to resolve headcount and workforce movement challenges or questions
• Assist the team in management of the team budget, as well as the overall Finance project budget to ensure accuracy, timely updates, and clear communication with business stakeholders
• Support strategic goals to improve and drive finance efficiency and effectiveness to deliver global consistency, scalability, and accountability in PayPal Finance

Requisite Skills and Experience:

• Two years of experience supporting financial planning and analysis, budgets processes, workforce planning, and/or project prioritization efforts
• Experience taking multiple data points and creating meaningful summary to enable business decision-making
• Collaboration with business partners to enable efficient processes and positive resolution of questions or issues
• Strong presentation and documentation skills using Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to facilitate dialogue with the various stakeholders to focus on ensuring support for the business and a strong sense of partnership with business leaders
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Bachelor of accounting, finance, business, or related curriculum
