Description

The Business Consultant is responsible for translating moderately complex and varied business needs into application software requirements. Possesses full technical knowledge of most phases of systems and business analysis and is able to consider the business implications of the application of technology to current and future business environments.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to :

  • May lead teams of analysts assigned to complex projects.
  • Analyzes and designs solutions to address complex and varied business needs.
  • Consults with business partners concerning application and implementation of technology.
  • Serves as a key contributor in the development and implementation of enterprise contract management/administration strategies, processes and systems.
  • Researches and quantifies impact to contract modifications.
  • Develops and maintains tracking software.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the ContraXX system within the URL and the Desktop Client.
  • Responsible for reporting initiatives utilizing the ContraXX system.
  • Documenting processes and steps for new functional items that are loaded into the ContraXX system.
  • Assist in training ContraXX end users and supporting end users through an online Issue Log within the ContraXX system.
  • Weekend and night schedules are required for our production releases and monitoring of the Issue Log.
  • This position may work from any Anthem location. May work remotely.
Qualifications
  • Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; 5-7 years business and professional experience in contracting, provider relations, and provider servicing; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Master's degree preferred.
  • Must have Contraxx System experience.
  • Must have a strong technical background.
  • Ability to pick up new tasks and learn them quickly.
  • Expert in MS Office Suite is preferred.
  • Some working knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Excellent attention to detail is required for this position
  • Strong Excel skills are required for this position.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $82,4000 to $123,600

Locations: California; Colorado; Nevada; Washington State; Jersey City, NJ; New York City, NY; Ithaca, NY and Westchester County, NY
