Description: Our client is currently seeking a Business Development Associate
The Business Development Associate is responsible for generating new business; actively pursuing opportunities or respond to business requests for all services across core sectors; Restructuring, Direct Lending, Loan Services and Capital Markets.
Responsibilities Include:
•Build new business pipeline
•Set-up and attend new business client meetings
•Develop and maintain a strong network of prospects for conversion into sales
•Cross selling of company products to existing clients
•Attend seminars/conferences and participate in discussion panels
•Support and develop strategic client partnerships
•Provide research on the market; including competitors, new clients and new transactions
•Compile proposals and presentations for potential clients
•Conduct initial KYC checks
• Undertake data analysis for account projections, months end reporting, year-end summary and ad hoc analytical projects as and when requested
•Provide management with a range of reports; including sales meeting reports, management meeting reports, pipeline reports and ad hoc reports as and when required
•Co-ordinate post-mortem meetings
•Work closely with Senior Vice President, Head of Business Development for the Americas to help generate demand
Key Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree
•Ideal candidate to posses a minimum of 5-7 years of experience
•Entrepreneurial business focus
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Demonstrable time-management skills and attention to detail
•Ability to effectively manage priorities while balancing competing demands and tight deadlines
Skills/Experience:
•Strong knowledge of the Debt Capital Markets and Restructuring/Bankruptcy
•Proven track record generating new business and a strong network on contracts across both the funds and legal communities
•Ability to build and maintain strong relationship both internally and externally
•Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and being responsive to client demands
•Outgoing personality and ability to deal directly with a variety of clients in a purposeful and constructive manner, in line with company values, policies and procedures
•Highly organized and adaptable with a "can do" attitude
•Proactive thinker and planner with a strong work ethic
