Your Role:

As a Business Development Manager within the Life Science Services business field, you will collaborate with our clients to help bring novel therapies and vaccines to patients.

You will be responsible for prospecting of new business opportunities in the custom manufacturing fields of mRNA, lipids, and LNP manufacturing in part of Americas Region.

You will drive CDMO sales across the mRNA value chain from pre-clinical through to commercial projects.

You will also utilize your technical expertise to secure sales of custom, complex projects and make sure to close new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements and business operations.

You will have a strong focus on R&D, high level networking, and driving collaboration with customers, consultants and industry opinion leaders and cooperate with the marketing team to analyze the market trends and understand industry dynamics.

You will be responsible to accurate tracking and reporting of on-going projects and track and report sales activities and share account and process knowledge.

This position is home-based in the United States. Local to the Northwest US is considered an advantage but not required.

Who you are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Chemistry or Pharmaceutical science. MSc, and/or PhD is preferred
  • Experience in mRNA manufacturing and lipid-based, non-viral delivery technologies; strong, existing industry network is considered an advantage
  • Experience in cGMP regulated environment
  • 3 years minimum of directly related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate information appropriate to the level of the audience.
  • Experience in delivering effective technical presentations to a group of scientists.
  • Strong desire to succeed and ability to execute on multiple tasks or projects.
  • Willingness to travel to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software in a business environment.
  • Proficiency in English. Knowledge of any other language is considered an advantage.
  • International experience considered an advantage
