The Sales & Operations Business Solutions Manager will be part of an agile Commercial Alignment Team to help support and deliver all business reporting and analytics across Martignetti Companies. The position requires broad experience with business intelligence tools, report writing, SQL and data visualization tools at an enterprise level.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for compiling, maintaining, analyzing, and presenting market, customer, and internal company sales data to evaluate performance and sales strategies in the market
  • Identify and prioritize reporting requirements across Sales, Supply Chain, and Executive teams
  • Develop scalable dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, and standardization
  • Create and maintain documentation of data dictionary, data models, and available reports
  • Train Business Analyst and Sales Administration community within Commercial Alignment Team (CAT) on reporting and visualization tools. Share knowledge and collaborate with the Business Analyst and Sales Administration community
  • Assist Portfolio Managers and Sales Leadership with the following:
  • Manage Supplier Profitability. This would include managing the profit index and profit point objectives, while making sure that the company margins remain healthy. Overseeing all funds, such as Marketing Funds and Equity Grants, and making sure that they are managed within company guidelines.
  • Working closely with the supplier finance teams to ensure that the financial objectives are being met. This would include a thorough job in managing the ROI on key programs, assessing the margin impact on pricing changes, and making sure that all market spend was driving positive brand growth. Manage aged inventory and aging statements to ensure they are less than 60/90 days in each market.
  • Planning Process and Review Meetings. Making sure that all markets had the appropriate tools to plan their monthly, channel, and chain goals during each fiscal year. Understanding the market opportunities and issues.
  • Be responsible for project execution from original concept through completion in accordance with the company methodology
  • Lead and facilitate information gathering sessions to validate business cases and define requirements
  • Track, review, verify, analyze, and report accurate results to Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Pricing leadership teams in a timely manner
  • Identify system deficiencies and propose possible solutions
  • Evaluate past program success/failure trends; use trend analysis to advise stakeholders on proposed programs
  • Provide accurate insights on live program performance and evaluate ROI on key initiatives
  • Follow established reporting and documentation standards to ensure uniformity throughout the organization
  • Update performance management initiatives including IC plan compensation
  • Develop and maintain KPI's pertaining to Sales, Inventory, and Pricing
  • Analyze data available to anticipate potential issues and proactively model potential solutions
  • Provide Sales and Marketing stakeholders with a data-driven roadmap for improved sales execution


Requirements

Required Job Competencies:
  • Experience working with finance, sales, and operations departments is strongly desired
  • Project management experience required. Provide necessary support for managing key projects including program effectiveness
  • Basic experience with statistical methods
  • Able to work collaboratively with minimal guidance
  • Self-starter, results-oriented, able to execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Intermediate understanding of business and system analysis methods and process such as use case development, brainstorming, etc. is helpful
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education/Training/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS/CIS, business management, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Data Systems and technology
  • 3+ years experience with business intelligence tools; Working knowledge of BI/data warehouse functionality is strongly desired
  • Highly Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Project, SQL and Visio
  • Experience in working with several groups of data and users simultaneously
  • Experience in being innovative and having strong analytic skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strong time management skills
  • Microsoft Power BI (i.e. Power Pivot/ OLAP, Power Query, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Services) experience is a plus

Physical Demands and Environment:
  • Work performed requires or no measurable physical exertion, may be required to lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds
  • Work is performed in a normal office sitting with intermittent standing or sitting as determined by the incumbent
  • Work requires a significant level of mental concentration required to manage multiple complex tasks requiring continual mental and visual focus
  • Works in a normal office environment
  • Minimal potential for injury in the performance of duties
