JOB SUMMARY:
A Team Lead serves as a figurehead for the hourly production team members and efficiently utilizes all available resources in meeting or exceeding established plant goals.




ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


* Supervise and manage daily department activities to meet production and safety goals
* Coordinate communication between the department and other levels of the plant
* Ensure the maintenance of all production equipment and support equipment
* Train, coordinate, and supervise hourly team members in the production areas
* Motivate and develop team members to reach/exceed agreed upon objectives through periodic performance reviews
* Strive for continuous improvement and ensure product quality standards are met
* Performs any assemble-type function using hand and/or power tools
* Use scanning system to account for cabinets produced, ensuring quality standards are met
* Accurately interpret production labels, packing lists, pallet tickets, job orders, and manifests
* Maintain a safe work environment, including housekeeping
* Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills and Abilities:


* Ability to identify wood species, finishes, cabinet types, color variances, and identify all box components
* Ability to use basic math concepts and read a standard tape measure




Required Education and Experience:


* High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred


Required Physical Ability:


* Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
* Frequent bending, crouching, pulling and pushing
* Regularly lift and/or move up to 30lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs


WORKING CONDITIONS:


* Working in an indoor environment with excessive hot, humid, and cold temperatures
* Protective safety gear will be required including safety glasses, gloves, and sleeves
* The noise level is usually moderate to high
* Occasional overtime and weekend work as required
