Certified Nursing Assistant - Trainee

- Learn and demonstrates all knowledge and skills to become a Certified Nurse Assistant in a classroom and clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Attend and complete the Certified Nurse Aide Training course, which addresses all areas of care rendered to a given population (i.e. geriatric) within the scope of practice of a Certified Nurse Aide. This will encompass biological, psychological and social elements at the beginning level in a health care setting where aides are employed.
- Responsible for completing work assignments, being prompt, prepared for class and report as scheduled, and maintaining good attendance.
- Learn the knowledge and skills required for a Certified Nurse Aide through in both a classroom and clinical setting.
- Adhere to all rules and/or policies governing student conduct and standards of behavior.
- Successfully pass the NYS Certified Nurse Aide Exam in order to work as a Certified Nursing Assistant; composed of both computer based written exam and a clinical skills exam monitored by a registered nurse evaluator
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will need:
- Must be able to read, write and speak English; High School Diploma or equivalent life-experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a sincere desire to serve others.
